David Colton was recently named the 2019 Rakow Commission recipient by The Corning Museum of glass. His work includes innovative sculptural forms that have been influenced by such diverse subjects as American graffiti and the foliate scrolls of ornamental metalsmithing. Colton’s Rakow Commission piece is the first glass cannabis pipe to enter an art museum’s collection.
