Hoa Tran was born in Vietnam but fled that country during the collapse of the government following the US withdrawal. She escapd to a boat off the coast and, after many adventures, made her way to the United States. She then met and became engaged to Hung Nguyen, who was (and still is) an important member of the Frabel family. In August, 1988, she came on board. Hoa's skills are composition and she is adept with both clear and colored glass. Her flowers are exquisite and the movement she creates with the petals guide the viewers imagination to a soft wind blowing. The dogwood and cherokee rose sculptures are two of her specialties.
