Artist's Bio
Tammy Osczepinskiís passion for glass began over three years ago when she attended the Festival of the Masterís at Disney in Orlando. She was attracted to all of the art, but was particularly drawn to glass as a medium in order to satisfy her long standing desire to become an artist. She began studying the art of lampworking locally as a hobby at Mr. Beady Glass (now known as Flametree Glass) and in August 2004, she founded her own company, T-Beads, as a full-time artist. She has studied under nationally known artists and thrives on learning new processes and techniques.
Tammyís one-of-a-kind works of art are created through a process called lampworking. Using a torch and metal rod called a mandrel, beautiful glass beads are created and then fired in a kiln. Her love of nature is evident in her designs with stunning work entitled, ìNight Breeze,î ìBlue Lagoon,î and ìOcean Depths.î Tammyís work has been published in ìBead Uniqueî magazine and her beads and jewelry can be found in local art galleries and retail shops such as ìBeads at Metrowestî and ìArtistreetsî at Waterford Lakes. She is active in the Orlando art glass community as a member of the Orlando Glass Dragons. She is also a member of the International Society of Glass Bead Makers, the Glass Art Society and the American Craft Council. Tammy was born and raised in Warwick, NY (coincidentally in a small village called Florida in Orange County, NY!) and moved to Orlando in 1995. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in marketing. When not lampworking, she enjoys watching movies, solving sudoku puzzles, listening to country music and spending time with family and friends. |
