Artist's Bio

I am 28 years old and live in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. I

have always been involved in creative activities, i.e. knitting, wood turning, dressmaking, and my favourite - making jewellery. This led me to lampwork and in March

2005, I taught myself how to make lampwork beads and have been hooked ever since. I now pursue a part-time career in lampwork (I also work as a software developer) and spend two glorious days a week sitting at my torch melting glass. I love experimenting with colour and the different chemical reactions that can be achieved with certain types of glass. I enjoy trying out new

techniques and rarely make the same bead twice. I am a perfectionist and love making highly detailed, very precise beads.
