Artist's Bio

Nicholeís interest in bead making begin with her involvement in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th century Europe. It was through this organization that Nichole attended her first bead making class in March of 2003. Two weeks after this class Nichole had purchase her first torch and began making glass beads and vessels on a regular basis in a small home studio. Though her main focus in glass work is researching, recreating and teaching the designs and patterns of pre-17th century Europe Nichole also works with modern techniques to expand her knowledge and understanding of the glass arts. Nichole lives in Oregon with her husband, Brian.
