Born in Chicago in 1975 to an Irish father and an American mother and raised in Melbourne Beach, Florida; Skyís formal education consists of a B.A. in painting from the University of Central Florida. She has apprenticed for the last few years with master lampworker Robert Mickelsen. Currently, she works out of her Central Florida studio.

Though she has always been enveloped in color, glass is her fascination of choice. Through experimentation with glass her color and design skills have been applied to jewelry and small sculpture. Mixing colored glass by hand in a flame has given her a gateway to seek many variations of color and shape. Conceiving each piece as a unique organic sculpture is her goal.

Sky has traveled extensively in the Americas, the Caribbean and Europe. The change of scenery, people, and culture has inspired her subject and color choices. Most recently her work has elevated to express her sentiments through intuitive design elements with exploratory jewelry and sculptural mobiles.
