Artist's Bio

In 2000 Kathleen Elliot left her former career in organizational development and training to pursue a career as an artist. She began by teaching herself to make glass beads, following diagrams and photos in bead making books. Since then Kathleen has attended Pilchuck Glass School three times, studying with Laura Donefer, Robert Mickelsen, and Shane Fero, and she currently studies Art at De Anza College. Kathleen won a NICHE Student Award in 2005, a NICHE Award in 2006, and recently won a Jurorís Choice Award and the Peopleís Choice Award from the Bay Area Glass Institute. Kathleen is married with three children and two stepchildren; resides and operates a glass studio in Cupertino, CA.
